Meanwhile, Lakshman Hulugalle, who was hoping to be appointed as the
Nikaweratiya organizer following the sudden death of Soma Kumari Tennekoon, has
also lost his chance.
Lakshman and Sudarman have had to give up their chances to make way for UNP
defectors Johnston Fernando and Indika Bandaranayake who were   appointed as
organizers of Nikaweratiya and Panduvasnuwara respectively.
